Toyobo Co., Ltd. and we have productized an RNA analysis kit based on a novel system titled RamDA-seqTM*1 that allows full-length sequencing of the total RNA of a single cell.

This kit employs the Reverse Transcription with Random Displacement Amplification (RT-RamDA®) method. RT-RamDA® enables highly sensitive detection of poly(A) RNA and non-poly(A)-derived cDNA from minute amounts of RNA. Therefore, the RT-RamDA® method is characterized by a higher number of detected genes compared to conventional technologies.

QuantAccuracy®, RT-RamDA® cDNA Synthesis Kit

Toyobo QuantAccuracy®, RT-RamDA® cDNA Synthesis Kit can prepare cDNA from single cells or small amounts of RNA. The cDNA prepared with this kit can be used as a template for real-time PCR and other highly sensitive gene expression analyses.

Watson Transfer plate for 384 multiwell plate

You can transfer your sample to the target plate in just one minute of centrifugation without leaving any sample behind!

All you have to do is insert the 384-well plate containing your sample between the 384-well plate and the target plate to which you want to transfer the sample and centrifuge the 384 Transfer Plate to move the sample in no time. No more troublesome aliquoting is required.

BiT-Mag96: Magnet Plate for 96 well microwell plate

This magnetic plate enables magnetic bead purification of nucleic acid samples as small as 3.0 μl. This plate uses a highly magnetic N52 neodymium magnet. The magnetic effect was maximized by optimizing the contact points between the magnet and the wells through the joint iron and magnet arrangement.

The acrylic material ensures transparency, and even with a skirted plate, the agglomeration can be checked from the bottom of the plate. The acrylic material also makes it lightweight and inexpensive.

Magna Stand (NIPPON Genetics)

Library preparation for next-generation sequencing (NGS) involves several sample clean-up steps using AMPure XP beads. Conventional magnetic stands have low magnetic force, which causes problems with solution mixing during pipetting and bead carryover during solution collection. This magnetic stand has been specially developed for NGS library preparation and allows stress-free handling of AMPure XP.

RamDAQ: a reproducible data analysis workflow for full-length single-cell RNA-sequencing data (Genble Inc.)

This pipeline analyses data from full-length single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) methods. The pipeline is built using Nextflow, a workflow tool to run tasks across multiple compute infrastructures in a very portable manner. It comes with docker containers making installation trivial and results highly reproducible.

Quartz-Seq2 for developing a novel drug and regenerative medicine (Knowledge Palette, Inc.)

We develop novel drug discovery and regenerative medicine platforms, which can be applied to a broader range of diseases by combining large-scale transcriptome analysis, the database, artificial intelligence technology, and cell culture optimization technology. Our core transcriptome technology, “Quartz-Seq2”, received 1st place in the accuracy of genes detection and marker identification and was ranked No.1 in overall scores in the project. The results were published in Nature Biotechnology (Mereu et al. 2020).
